Paper Mache Masks: Animals! with Sandy Stewart
Have you ever noticed how animals look like us (or we look like animals)? We both have the same important features: eyes, nose, mouth, and ears. The first session, we will explore this by making a mask of an animal over a human form base, using paper and glue. The second session, we will paint and add additional materials to bring it to life! Please note that this is a two-part class!

Curiosity Collages with Kim Brennan
During the Renaissance age, the wealthy people collected objects of value and put them in "Curiosity Cabinets". These cabinets were the beginning of museums. Students will create a collage with found materials, photos, and magazines in a pre-stretched piece of canvas to create their own 3 dimensional curiosity box. Texture will be used on the outside of the 'box' with fabric and paint. This is a great way for students to learn that inexpensive materials can be used for creating a work of art.
$30, Ages 6-12, Friday, April 20, 1:30-3:30 p.m.
